March 2025

Pubblicato il 1 marzo 2025 alle ore 21:10

Every month Rome dresses up in new colors and offers ever-changing opportunities for visits: a rich cultural and entertainment program in a city with a thousand-year history that amazes with its majesty, but which also hides corners of beauty and treasures less known by the general public.

On the first Sunday of the month, both national cultural sites and museums managed by Roma Capitale open their doors to the public for free. Be careful, though: in some cases, reservations are required, so always check the individual museums' websites for access methods.

Every last Sunday of the month, you can visit the Vatican Museums for free from 9 am to 2 pm (last entry at 12:30 pm).

07.03.2025 - Caravaggio at Palazzo Barberini. From March 7, the rooms of Palazzo Barberini will host one of the largest retrospectives ever dedicated to Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio, with an exceptional core of works from prestigious international collections. Each of the masterpieces on display, such as the Ecce Homo that returns to Italy after centuries at the Prado Museum, is a piece that contributes to recounting the revolutionary style of the painter between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and his profound and lasting influence on the artistic, religious and social panorama of the time.

From 07.03.2025 to 06.07.2025 at Palazzo Barberini in Via delle Quattro Fontane , 13
