Biopark
The Bioparco, historically known as the Zoological Garden, is the zoological garden of Rome, located in the northern portion of Villa Borghese and managed by the foundation of the same name controlled by Roma Capitale. It is the oldest zoo in Italy and is home to around 1,200 animals of around 150 different species including mammals, reptiles and birds, on a total surface area of around 155,480 square metres.
They are all animals born at the Biopark or at other zoological facilities. In fact, for many years the concept of zoos has changed and animals are no longer purchased or taken from their natural habitat. If, like me, you have never heard of Addax, Binturong, Agama, Maned Wolf, Marabou or Tamarin, you will discover what they look like. Events and workshops are organized during the day. Inside the zoo there is a fun and above all very comfortable train when the children are tired. Here to buy the Biopark tickets
